Lunchtime runs from 12.00pm to 1.30pm. You can opt for your child to go home for lunch or stay for a school meal.
Children who stay at school for lunch can choose from a variety of nutritious options which are provided by Taylor Shaw. The menu will include fresh, local and sustainable produce and the use of certificated Fairtrade, Red Tractor and MSC products and free range eggs.
Our current school menu can be found by clicking here.
Unfortunately, we do not have appropriate storage facilities for packed lunches brought from home. Therefore, NO ‘home’ packed lunches are allowed for health and safety reasons.
The school is able to cater for any special dietary requirements. Parents must provide written information from a Doctor or Dietician about their child’s needs. Please discuss any requirements with Mrs Hughes or Mrs Potts.
Universal Infant Free School Meals (UIFSM)
From September 2014 the Government has introduced free school meals for all children in Reception, Year 1 and Year 2. The Government made this decision after a recommendation in the School Food Plan. Therefore there will be no dinner money to pay.
Nusery School Meals
All children in Nursery have the option to stay for a school lunch. The lunch period will take place from 11.45am to 12.45pm. If your child is full time they can also be collected, taken home for their lunch and returned to Nursery at the end of the lunch period.
The school lunch is available at a charge of £4 per day. The charge covers childcare and the cost of a school meal. Payment can be made by cash, cheque, online or through a childcare voucher scheme.
Note: Payment must be received in advance. Please refer to our Charging, Remissions and Refund Policy
You may be aware that the Government is currently allocating additional funding to schools known as the Pupil Premium Grant (PPG).
