Anti-Bullying Information for Parents and Carers

Barnes Infant Academy operates a ZERO TOLERANCE approach to bullying. We work closely with pupils, families and external agencies to safeguard and protect all pupils and staff. All pupils and all staff are an important active element of our anti-bullying strategy. We have an Anti-bullying Partnership Team, School Councillors and Barnes Buddies.

As a school we identify, recognise and remove bullying. We promote understanding of anti-bullying so that our school is safe for children. Children explore bullying and ways of resolving disagreements or what to do if they think they are being bullied.

Children learn about anti-bullying in a range of different ways:

  • Personal, Social, Health and Economic lessons
  • Circle time
  • Drama and role Play
  • Anti-bullying week
  • Family Learning
  • Workshops
  • Educational visits
  • Visitors into school

At Barnes Infant Academy we work together to provide a safe and caring environment for all pupils, staff and parents. We are currently working towards the Gold Anti-Bullying Charter Mark.

If you have any questions or concerns, please speak to our anti-bullying lead.
